ATP

I remember it like it was yesterday. A young couple with nothing in mind or in sight apart from a journey to the beach for the weekend to take in all the alternative music nature had to offer. God himself couldn't have dreamt up such a perfect break...well maybe Jesus.
Anyway during that weekend all we had was tea-bags, alcohol, cannabis, pot noodle's, mandy and check list of brilliant bands to see.
That year we must have seen The Breeders, Throwing Muses, Bon Iver, Kimya Dawson, Pit Er Pat, Deerhunter, Gang Of Four, The Holloys, Distortion Felix, Times New Viking, Melt Banana, and many more but my memory is a bit fuzzy, i wonder why.
Has to be said, next to Oya festival last year, this was a blast of a weekend.
The room was fine, but the choice of TV listings was brilliant yet bizarre. A combination of serious art documentaries to twisted movie selection's such as Eraserhead and then all the way to Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! This is definitely the future for Television everywhere. Then i might actually watch TV apart from Come Dine With Me. Classic reality TV, horrible yet you love it and you can't tear your face away for an instance.
Next year good ol' Matt Groening is curating ATP no doubt Daniel Johnston will be playing. Although i do hope no more good bands are lined up because that will just drive me nuts. It's one of the many faults with not having a job.
I would go on more about ATP but I'm a wee bit too drunk so I won't go on.
